the bible refutes itself

As we all know, creationists barge into areas they know nothing about. Ben Stein has recently done this silly movie but what's his qualifications on biology? Why do xians go writing on science when they know nothing about it? What's worse is the bible actually tells them not to:

"A fool finds no pleasure in understanding, but delights in airing his own opinions." Proverbs 18:2

This is another typical case of xian cherry picking. They choose to ignore the fact that that their own bible tells them to understand stuff. Unless the bible wants them to be foolish. Its obvious why, when the bible was written understanding science meant understanding the myths of the day whereas if xians actually followed the bibles advice they'd realise that the bible isn't true and the bible would refute itself. They say that reading the bible is the fastest route to atheism for a good reason.
