Apologetics
Now the area where xians try to provide evidence for their silly beliefs is called apologetics. Now if someone is apologetic then it normally means that they are saying sorry and apologising for something. So the whole areas is actually about apologising for there faith rather than providing intelligent arguments. Says a lot really.

Actually, Apologetics comes from the Greek word "apologia" which means "Reasoned Defense" (much like someone would give in a court of law.)
By the way, there are such things as Atheist Apologists, such as yourself (assuming you're not a parody), so if what you say is in fact true then it kinda makes you wonder about Atheism [or "afairyism" as you call it].

I see mikey (like many things) is uneducated in the foundations of words. Chaotic Void got it right, it is taken from a greek word.
