Xians against democracy

Xians seem to think that the truth is not determined by popular vote. And so when I use things like star ratings on amazon or bad faith award votes they complain. But this is what most people call democracy. I suppose that these xians believe that we should go back to ye olde days when once person such as the pope decided what is true.

that's because it isn't. The truth is always independent of what anyone thinks (as long as the topic of debate isn't what someone thinks)

"And so when I use things like star ratings on amazon or bad faith award votes they complain."

that's because, once again, the truth of something external to the mind is always independent of one's opinion.

But this is what most people call democracy."

so would the earth be flat if everyone on earth believed that it was flat? no of course not, it would simply mean that everyone on earth was wrong.

"I suppose that these xians believe that we should go back to ye olde days when once person such as the pope decided what is true."

I was not aware that the pope actually decided what is truth, but I'm pretty sure that Catholics held to the belief that the Pope recieved knowledge of the truth from the Almighty God.

Cause its not. If most people thought the earth was flat that wouldnt make it so.

No Democracy is the ability to vote for our leaders. It has nothing to do with what is or is not true.

"I suppose that these xians believe that we should go back to ye olde days when once person such as the pope decided what is true."

Accoarding to Catholic belief the Pope is still grated authority in matters of faith. But myself I have nothing against Democracy. It has its flaws like any other political system but overall it works.

Hi Mike... guess what..

I agree with jake and sir-thinks-a-lot that truth is independent from opinion

So... that makes the margin 3 to 1 that you are wrong

So mikey, was the earth being the center of the universe true until people started thinking otherwise? BTW, since Christianity is the world's largest religion, it must be true! Thanks for destroying atheism for us.
