Did the world end?

1.Harold camping said that the world would end on the 21st, he got this beliefs from reading the bible
2.Harold Camping was wrong.
3.Therefore what the bible says is wrong

Now christians might try to cry out the usual red herings such as 'Harold Camping took the bits of the bible out of context' or 'you have to use common sense when reading the bible' Ofcourse, those are just excuses. I ask, how do you with 100% certainity that your interpretaion of the bible is the one true correct one and that harold campings is wrong.

Hi Mike,

Long time no see. Hope things have been alright with you.

You asked, "how do you ...that harold campings is wrong."

Well, the world didn't end Mike.

Here's what Jesus said:

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
(Mat 24:36)

"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father."
(Mar 13:32)

Feel free to read them in context.

God Bless you Mike.

oh, and to be honest, i can't be 100% certain that my understanding of the Bible is the 'one true correct one'. No Christian can be 100% certain WITHOUT a direct revelation from God.

However, with the Holy Spirit's guidance, study and reason should get us close on most.
But the most important one's are these:

1)we are sinners
2)we are in need of a Savior
3)Jesus the Christ paid the penalty for our sins
4)Jesus is our Lord and Savior

Your sins are already forgiven Mike. All you need is to accept Jesus as your Savior.

God Bless, Mike.
