1.Harold camping said that the world would end on the 21st, he got this beliefs from reading the bible
2.Harold Camping was wrong.
3.Therefore what the bible says is wrong

Now christians might try to cry out the usual red herings such as 'Harold Camping took the bits of the bible out of context' or 'you have to use common sense when reading the bible' Ofcourse, those are just excuses. I ask, how do you with 100% certainity that your interpretaion of the bible is the one true correct one and that harold campings is wrong.

The Season of the WItch

I saw the film season of the witch at the weekend and the first two thirds were very historically acurate. It showed how a handful of crusaders would trot around Europe going from town to town killing millions of innocent people simple because they thought their sky daddy wanted them to. It showed how the church used violence to bully people into seeing their truth. It showed how villages were killing anyone that might possibly be a witch and how supersition drowns people and utters spells where science would have found a medical cure. Unfotunatly after displaying such historical acuracy for the first two thirds of the movie the last part was rubbish showing some cgi devil and magic. Shame, what started of as a good film could have had such a rubbish ending.

How did my Mithras challenge go

Well this year I sent out christmas cards but crossed out the word christmas and wrote in mithras above it. The only negative comment was somebody at work who told me to get a life. A surprising number of people just seemed to ignore the fact I was wishing the a merry mithermas instead of chritmas however I did have one interesting conversation with a person at my local supermarket and they agreed to watch zeitgeist the movie however tried explaining the amazing similarities between jesus and mithras through mithras plagarising old testament propheses however they couldnt explain how they knew jesus wasnt also a rip of frpm old testament propheses.

The Mithras Challenge

This year I'm going to send cards out wishing people a merry mithermas. I will also only wish people merry mithermas. Why? Well then people will wondering what I'm on about and it will cause them to start asking questions. These questions will hopefully leave them to research into mitheras as doing so will cause them to learn about the stunning paralels between jesus and mitheras. Its amazing what wishing somebody a merry mithermas can do!

Imagine that you woke up one morning and the words 'I exist - love god' were written in the sky. Would that be conclusive proof that god exists. Well no, it could be that the vatican somehow discovered how to write words in the sky and are tricking us. Or maybe we could turn to paralel universe theory in which case everytime a cloud moves a bit two universes are created, one with the one cloud formation in and another with a different cloud formation. Over enough paralel universes all containing randomly shaped clouds, it would hardly be surpsing that one of them contained clouds that spelled out the words 'i exist - love god' Here lies the problem for the theist, whatever evidence you provide for your skydaddy us atheists will find an alternative explanation. Therefore your sky daddy hypothesis is unfalsafiable and as any atheist logic book will tell you, if a theory is unfalsafiable then it cannot be true.
