Jebus wants to eat us....

Ive come accross a great argument from Christopher Hitchens. Basically, Jebus said that he is a shepheard and that we are his sheep. Well what does a shepheard do? They look after the sheep until they are fat and then eat them. Therefore Jebus wants to eat us if you believe the bible.

Well I guess that would depend on your interpretation and how much twisting can be done, surely?!

But if you take any parable from the bible and take it literally then it all sounds like rubbish. Probably because it is.

Mike, those guys you got on here really make me laugh. I think they actually could be parodies, much as they have accused you of being in the past. Surely nobody in their right mind can REALLY belive that twaddle, can they?

for a second, Fifi, i actually thought you had an open and honest mind, but that last paragraph shows your bias.

Hi Fifi, I can see why you might think that they are all parodies. They all hang around theologyweb.net and convince each other that their retarded arguments are good. They laugh and jeer at us not realising how stupid they sound. JP Holding (aka Bob Turkel) is the worst through.

It might be hard to believe however they are all genuine christians (Johnny does actually believe in talking snakes!)

Mikey, Now I see why Christopher Hitchen's is a retard that should be ignored because he doesn't understand this concept known as an 'analogy'. I know you're very dumb, but the point is that Jesus is saying that shepherd protect their sheep from harm, but as I can see. The stupidity keeps flowing:

Well I guess that would depend on your interpretation and how much twisting can be done, surely?!

Just like Mikey and Hitchens, you're lack of intelligence never ceases to amaze me Fifi. I see you don't understand analogies, huh?

But if you take any parable from the bible and take it literally then it all sounds like rubbish. Probably because it is.

Let me try to argue like Fifi!

"Make like a Banana a split, what a stupid saying because everybody knows that Banana's don't split naturally! You want to do physical harm on me, huh?"

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Why can I just picture fifi actually thinking this is a good argument and even calling the cops for people making 'death threats' at her?

Much like you are for finding this a good argument? The New atheist are pretty stupid, but I didn't know you guys couldn't even understand a metaphor or analogy.

Surely nobody in their right mind can REALLY belive that twaddle, can they?

Surely nobody in their right mind is too dumb to understand what a 'metaphor' is, huh? Then again... there is you, mikey, and Hitchens. Maybe the human race is doomed to stupidity?

Yes, i do believe that at least one serpent was able to speak.

It is not necessarily the case that the serpent in Gen 3 is the same thing as a snake as we know it.... i say that because we were not there and the text is not conclusive as far as i can tell.

The word in Genesis that is translated as 'snake' or 'serpent' is from (Strong's numbers):

H5172
נחשׁ
nâchash
naw-khash'
A primitive root; properly to hiss, that is, whisper a (magic) spell; generally to prognosticate: - X certainly, divine, enchanter, (use) X enchantment, learn by experience, X indeed, diligently observe.

The word is, :

H5175
נחשׁ
nâchâsh
naw-khawsh'
From H5172; a snake (from its hiss): - serpent.

As far as i can tell, Hebrew words
H5173 and H5174 are the same words and mean an incantation or augury: - enchantment.
and (Chaldee); corresponding to H5154; copper: - brass. respectively.

But even if it were a snake like we know today.. what difference would that make?

I would like one person to give a good argument or explaination on how it is impossible that the Serpent in Genesis 3 could not talk or that it did not even exist.

God Bless,
johnny

and there goes johnny pretending he can speak hebrew...just because the bible was written in hebrew doesn't make it true. Mike and Fifi, ignore everything they say. We regularly point out their stupidity over at theologyweb and they just bury their heads in the sand. Stupid xians

I've never said that i can speak Hebrew... or read it. In fact, i'm pretty sure that somewhere in Mike's blog i had mentioned that.

I can read a dictionary though.

So says the same person that copies arguments from Christopher Hitchens! Lol!

Sorry Mike, but it was easier to use Strong's than to produce a YouTube video.

How did you get that from what i said?

That would be as faulty as thinking that the talking serpent in Gen 3 is the same kind of creature as snakes, based on the English translation.
