Is your skydaddy everywhere

Now xians claim that their sky daddy is everywhere. Well if they are everywhere then how come there is room for anything else? You cant have 2 things occupying the same space (thats basic science)

You nailed that one right on the head. I've been trying to explain that to the Christian community for years since my transition, and many of them still ignore that argument. Pitiful.

Keep up the arguments because someone at some point in time is bound to listen: And when they do, they'll see why religion toxifies the mind's capacity to process and reason within the boundaries of philosophical thought.

Best wishes,

Just came across this blog a short while ago. Great stuff; thanks for writing.

To add to your argument, remember that Jesus was supposedly God himself, which means that God, when he was on earth in human form, was occupying the same space as another version of himself. How does that make any sense at all? Answer: it doesn't.

Hi Mike,

Doctrines of God's attributes... i have to admit that you posted something worthy of a response above and beyond letting you know what movies are on the agenda.

Instead of going the route of discussing the claims from God's Word that the doctrines are derived from (especially since you don't discuss much), let me ask you a few questions...

Are you claiming that there is nothing but nature/the natural/matter?

Are you claiming that science is the ultimate authority?

Are you claiming that God must be subject to science because He must be matter?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi Johnny,

Yes, yes and yes. Can you prove otherwise?

Have you read The God Delusion? What do you think of Cargo Cults vs. Christianity?

Laters :-)

Hi FiFi,

As to your "Yes, yes and yes. Can you prove otherwise?", i would like to give Mike a chance to be more involved in his own discussion.

As far as The God Delusion, no, i have not read it yet. However, the arguments that some people present and are claimed to have come from Dawkin's book have not impressed me.

John Frum (Cargo Cults) is lacking in several ways. The only two i'll mention right now is 1)Frum would not be a necessary being but God (for the sake of argument, if He exists ) would be. 2)the Historicity of Christ (and since i said Christ, and not Jesus, that entails the claims of who and what
Christ is).

Are all these comments from parodies, or is there even less hope for human intelligence that I previously thought?

FiFi,

Since Mike is silent...

You said, "yes, yes and yes"

1)The Laws of Logic and Math are not matter, yet they exist, therefore not everything is matter.

2)There is no scientific test that proves science as the ultimate authority. Also, science is impotent concerning matters of metaphysics. Science can not be the ultimate authority.

3)Gen 1:1 In the beginning God...

Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

God Bless,

All I know is that I'm in the right and I know it, while Christians think they are in the right (but are actually in the wrong) and think they know it. Huge difference.

The "skydaddy" reference makes more for engagingly intellectual discourse it does.
