It seems to me that Humphreys is saying that he does not believe the Da Vinci Code is plausible... because, that would mean that his own book would be refuted (i.e. there would be a historical Jesus).
If i recall, his words were, "nice hobby".

I havent read that particular article, but christianthinktank is a pretty good site, in terms of content anyway. Their webpage layout makes my eyes hurt.

In anycase, with regards to interview I love how Humpheries avoided specifics for the entire interview. Also he never did explain how the parrallells prove that 'Jesus never existed.' I could come up with a list of parrallells between Megaman and samus Arin and it wouldnt prove anything except they had some things in common.
