evolution

Fifi asked me to post about evolution and so i thought i would. Now many years ago before darwin everyone thought a sky daddy made the universe and then darwin came along and presented a sound theory called evolution. Imagine trying to explain how life jumped up a mountain from no life to people, well we will call this mount improbable. Now imagine it is a slope rather than a mountain and life gradually changed. Well now we can see how random cell mutations would create life.

There is also lots of evidence or evolution. Now evolution is not a theory of chance however it shows how life got here by chance and so scientists now no that the universe was an accident.

Hi Mike,

You said, "Well now we can see how random cell mutations would create life."

Mike, if you have a cell, you already have life (if it's a dead cell, then you HAD life, but either way, you can not have cell mutations without already having life).

And again, as been pointed out, the existence of evolution does not rule out the existence of a Creator God.... even though i personally believe in YEC.

You also said, "evolution is not a theory of chance however it shows how life got here by chance and so scientists now no that the universe was an accident."

You have it backwards Ekim, evolution is a theory of chance, but it doesn't say how life originated (that's abiogenisis--- which really is another theory of chance).

It's chance... there is no way around it.
There also, in my opinion, is not enough time for many small changes, and neo-darwinian evolution has too big of changes that the organism would either die out, or we would see these happening nearly everywhere you turn around.

In fact, Mike, you either agree that it's chance or you are contradicting yourself, because you even said,
and so scientists now (k)no(w) that the universe was an accident.

So Mike, can you explain how it can be an accident, but not be chance??

God Bless you Mike,
johnny

oh, that's right... this one uses the <> tags, and not the []... ok, how do i edit on this thing?

Mike, can't you just obey the rules on tweb instead of getting banned so that we can use something more user-friendly?

Come on Mike. You are confused.evolution deals with how simple life became more complex over time-not the origin of life.

Now many years ago before darwin everyone thought a sky daddy made the universe
Evolution explains how species came about. It does not say why how the universe originated. How did the universe originate , Mike?
Spacefoetus told you how in the debate.
And Johnny evolution is not a theory of chance.Natural selection-not random chance decides which traits are beneficial. The only random part is mutation.
And young earth creation does have serious problems with its model.Ken Ham posits an almost ad hoc "superevolution". To explain the change in life in the post-flood world.

Actually, i should have qualified the statement.

Naturalistic evolution is chance.
Natural selection only deals with what is benificial... however, the mutation needs to occur. Not only that, but even if a beneficial mutation occurs, a drought, or a flood, or a tree falling, etc. can be quite anti-fortuitous.
Also, any changes that are neutral when they occur, can be corrected or lost.... something selected in, can be selected out, unless something holds the change.

God Bless,
johnny
