why I rule god out from the start

when you consider the existence of flying teapots you rule the existence of them out from the start. The same goes for dragons and pink unicorns. Nobody has a problem with you ruling these things out from the start. So why is it so wrong for people like me to rule out the existence of sky daddies from the start?

Here is the ultimate test. If someone said that they had heard a talking donkey would you laugh at them. I know I would and I'm sure you would to (unless you are the idiot who believes in talking donkeys.) Now most freethinkers and brights would be able to name several passages in the bible where talking donkeys are mentioned. As xians never read their bibles (or if they do they soon loose their faith) they won't realise this. But do you see where i'm going. Ruling out god and talking donkeys from the start and ignoring anything which contradicts atheism is the rational and thinking thing to do.

This might seem obvious however some xians just don't get it.

The problem is that you seem to claim to be a freethinker and unbiased, but you begin the post by listing your bias. See the inherent silliness here is that we all come to the table with our own brand of bias. You are biased. You are not a freethinker in the purest form of the word.

when the platypus was discovered people who had never seen it ruled its existence out from the start and claimed it a hoax.

I'd like you to name the passage with the talking donkey in it. There is only one btw and I'll give you a clue- its somewhere in the Pentateach.

btw its God talking THROUGH the donkey to make th point that eve.n the "beast of burden" is more intelligent from the "wiseman" Balaam (who we have extra-biblical evidence for btw). Its not as if the donkey is talking on its own accord
